How it works: We're the only not-for-profit power company in Aotearoa. This means that 100% of our profits go towards supporting those living with low-income, through our Energy Wellbeing programme.

We're currently available in Wellington, Hutt, Kāpiti, Wairarapa, Horowhenua as well as Christchurch and mid-Canterbury.

Toast is a not-for-profit electricity supplier. This means that instead of our profits going to shareholders, they are used to provide electricity bill discounts, free energy advice and products to low-income households in our service areas.

We’re proudly New Zealand owned and operated. We operate under our umbrella organisation Sustainability Trust, a registered charity based here in beautiful Pōneke (Wellington).

Energy hardship support

For customers living with low-income enrolled in our Energy Wellbeing programme, we offer a free wraparound service: discounted electricity costs over winter, a home assessment checking insulation, ventilation and hot water, free products as well as advice on how to reduce costs.
